“The fate of all intelligent beings is to be as grand as their thoughts.”
Hey! 👋🏻
I’m Daniel (DC), a game developer, educator, composer, and systems engineer.
I composed and designed the audio system for the original soundtrack of Until You Fall — a VR hack-and-slash roguelike by Schell Games that earned an 87/100 on Metacritic. I hold a Master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center and a background in music education.
I love to build things because I’m trying to understand the world. Poking at my own assumptions, finding cracks, and building something out of what I find along the way, whether I’m able to make sense of it or not; Creation is how I try and connect to the greater world outside myself. If it resonates with someone else along the way, then that makes it even better.
That same instinct drives my work in learning design. I’ve spent years designing experiences, games, curricula, and interactive systems, where the goal isn’t just engagement but empathy and understanding. Where someone walks away having overcome their barriers without even realizing it, but most importantly they are able to articulate what they need to learn next and why.
Finally, I think that constraint is connective tissue to innovation which is why I’m currently in production on Project Ebbyssal — a 2D horror game inspired by the dark origin of a popular children’s TV show, built in Godot. The MVP has a scheduled release of October 2026. How can I turn existing mental models on their head and create a frightening experience based on a light-hearted cartoon.
In addition to all of that, simplifying myself a little, I am also a:
